Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Policy

Bookings made through Venue96 can be cancelled subject to the following conditions:

  • Confirmed Tickets: Can be cancelled up to 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
  • RAC / Waitlisted Tickets: Can be cancelled up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. Waitlisted tickets that are not confirmed are automatically cancelled after chart preparation, and a full refund (minus clerkage charge) is issued.
  • Tatkal Tickets: Confirmed Tatkal tickets are non-refundable. However, if the ticket is not confirmed (RAC/WL), cancellation and refund rules apply as per Indian Railways norms.
  • E-Tickets: Partially confirmed e-tickets (mixed confirmed and RAC/WL passengers) can be cancelled only for the RAC/WL passengers individually, or the entire ticket can be cancelled.

2. Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges are deducted as per Indian Railways rules:

* Charges are per passenger. A minimum cancellation charge of 25% of the fare applies if the ticket is cancelled less than 12 hours before departure.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are processed based on the cancellation time and ticket status:

  • More than 48 hours before departure: Full fare refund minus flat cancellation charge per passenger.
  • Between 12 to 48 hours before departure: Full fare refund minus flat cancellation charge per passenger.
  • Less than 12 hours but more than 4 hours before departure: 75% of the fare is refunded minus cancellation charge (minimum 25% deduction).
  • Less than 4 hours before departure: No refund for confirmed tickets.
  • Waitlisted tickets not confirmed after charting: Full refund minus clerkage charge of ₹60 per passenger.

4. Refund Processing Time

Once a cancellation is confirmed, refunds are processed as follows:

  • UPI / Wallets: Refund within 24-48 hours.
  • Debit / Credit Cards: Refund within 5-7 business days.
  • Net Banking: Refund within 5-7 business days.

Please note that the actual credit to your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. Venue96 initiates the refund immediately upon cancellation, but the settlement timeline is determined by the payment gateway and your financial institution.

5. Convenience Fee

The convenience fee charged by Venue96 at the time of booking is non-refundable in case of cancellation. This fee covers the cost of the booking service provided by our platform.

6. Train Cancellation by Railways

If a train is cancelled by Indian Railways, a full refund (including convenience fee) will be automatically initiated. No cancellation charges apply in this case. The refund will be processed within 3-5 business days.

7. No-Show / Unboarded Passengers

If a passenger does not board the train, no refund will be provided. It is the passenger's responsibility to board the train on time at the designated station.

8. How to Cancel a Booking

You can cancel your booking through the following methods:

  • Online: Log in to your Venue96 account, go to My Bookings, select the booking, and click "Cancel Booking".
  • Contact Support: Reach out to us at our contact page with your PNR number and booking details.

9. Disputes & Escalation

If you believe your refund has not been processed correctly or you have a dispute regarding cancellation charges, please contact our support team with your PNR number and transaction details. We will investigate and resolve the issue within 7 business days.
